Not even a little. If you can open a browser and send a message in Claude, you can do this. The Academy assumes zero technical background. We avoid jargon. When a term comes up (like “JSON” or “API”), we explain it in one sentence using an analogy from your actual work. You’re not learning to code. You’re learning to direct your AI to solve real problems.

A paid Claude subscription (Pro or Team) and a text editor or Google Docs. That’s it. Claude Cowork is not available on the free tier, so you will need a paid account from Anthropic. You don’t need a development environment. You don’t need special software. The Academy works with what you already have.

No. The Academy uses the Guided Build System: every lesson includes expert video, a detailed walkthrough, and a downloadable .md training file you drop into your own Claude Cowork workspace. Claude reads the file and walks you through the lesson using your own files, your own context, and your own work. Most of your time is spent actively building inside your workspace, not watching someone else’s screen. Short videos set up each concept. The real learning happens when you build.

Yes. Everything you create in the Academy is yours forever. Your plugins, your playbooks, your custom agents, your Memory Stack, the content you generate. You own it when you build it. The Academy doesn’t expire the work or charge you recurring fees to keep using what you made.

That’s normal and that’s why support exists. Bring it to office hours or post in the community. We’ve seen this problem a hundred times. Usually it’s a one-sentence fix or a reframing question that changes everything. The goal is for you to feel confident troubleshooting on your own by the end.

Anthropic’s free course teaches you the software. We set up your workspace and teach you to work in it. Their course is good, and it is genuinely free. It explains what the buttons do. It does not sit down with your clients, your files, your voice, and your tools and build you a configured system. That is the entire difference, and it is why people who finished the free course still land here.

Claude Cowork requires a paid Claude subscription (Pro or Team) from Anthropic. It is not available on the free tier. Cowork Academy membership is free for business owners and operators, on Skool. The weekly office hours are live (you can attend or catch the recording), but the core curriculum is self-paced. Some members move quickly and finish in a week. The Academy is a monthly membership on Skool. You can cancel anytime with no contracts and no hassle. If you cancel and decide to come back later, you can rejoin whenever you are ready.
